How Eli Entertainment Was Born
Before cameras, before editing, before any of this—I was a marketing and sales guy by profession and a music head by passion. I’ve always had a love for recording and producing music. Late nights in the studio, tweaking vocals, layering beats—it was never about business, just the art. I was also the guy who never missed a live event. The stage, the lights, the energy—that was my scene.
So when my wife wanted to grow her social media presence, it only made sense that I’d help out. Marketing? That was my lane. I knew how to position a brand, sell a message, and reach the right audience. But when it came to content production—video, editing, visuals—we outsourced.
We hired a company for $7,500 over three months. The package included one cameraman and one editor. Four videos a week. Twelve a month. Seemed legit—until I did the math.
The cameraman? Getting paid just $100 to $150 per shoot.
The editor? $600... for the whole month.
Meanwhile, this company was raking in close to $4,000 profit doing nothing more than plugging us in and cashing the check. No creative input. No branding strategy. Just barebones execution.
That’s when it hit me.
With everything I already knew—marketing, production, branding, storytelling—I could do this better. Not just for my wife, but for every content creator tired of being overcharged and underdelivered.
I invested in the gear. Studied the craft. Tapped into my creative side. I pulled from my experience in branding, sales psychology, and performance—and Eli Entertainment was born.
